Moving Weekend

We are finally moved out and moved into our new, wonderful home! The closing was a bit rocky, but the move went smoothly. We are so excited to start this new chapter in our lives and feel very, very blessed. Thank you all for your support during all of this - it's been a long road.

I am fighting a yucky upper respiratory infection - that's what I get for trying to be Super Mom during a stressful time, but thankfully Calla and Todd are staying healthy.

Enjoy some fun pictures from the past few days! More to come.

Life father, like daughter. After a long weekend moving, Calla tries to steal Dad's drink in the new house.
Nilla is reflecting on her life in the old house and saying goodbye to her favorite backyard - she doesn't know yet a new and improved backyard is waiting for her.
Dad and Calla chilling out on the couch on a rest break in between packing boxes...Calla is crossing her feet just like Dad. She's already looking up to the big guy!
Moving is tiring, even for babies. It feels good to nap in my swing and suck my thumb (my favorite new discovery)!

Baby Calla is packing to move!

Mom is sick and dad is packing, but don't worry about me, I am having a great time with Nilla on the floor.

Easter Joy

I went to Easter Mass in my pink toole dress from Godfather Tony! How long can I get away with wearing a bonnet?

Then, I changed into my Easter bunny outfit from Gammie and Papa - they sent me my first Easter basket, too. I liked playing with its ears and trying to eat them!

I had a wonderful lunch with Grandma and Coleman, the Skowrons and the Hemingsons. Mom and Jenn then put me and Ellie in a basket - don't we look silly!

We love having the Hemingsons in Texas again!!!
Hope you had a blessed and happy Easter!

Four Months Old

Calla had her four-month checkup this week, and she is a growing, healthy baby! She is tall and putting on weight!

Here's her stats:
Height: 25 7/8 inches, 95th percentile
Weight: 14 lbs 11 oz, 75th percentile
Head: 41.3 cm, 52th percentile

She is also developing on track...rolling over, watching her surroundings, holding on to toys and trying to put everything (including her feet) in her mouth!

We will go back to the doctor at six months and will start talking about incorporating solid food.

March Madness

I have been slacking at new posts, so sorry! But going back to work is tough, and finding time to do things like this is even tougher.

But, we will get you caught up on the latest. Calla hit 15 weeks in March, which seemed to spur a lot developmentally. These days she is rolling over, cooing, trying to eat her toes and intently watching the world around her.

She loves to be tickled, stand on our legs, giggle and go for walks in the neighborhood. She is also a big fan of her swing. Calla is a very happy and easy going baby - she's just a doll and growing up so fast!

Father/daughter time, watching Nilla Bean...
All smiles!
Cuddlin' with Dad!
Going for a walk with Mom!

Calla's Baptism

On March 7, Calla had the most special Baptism, surrounded by her wonderful family! Calla is especially excited to have Godparents -- Kerry Skowron and Tony Vaccaro, both very special people in her life!

We had a reception afterward at Times Ten Cellars in Lakewood. Calla changed into her pink party dress (a gift from the Vaccaro clan) and was the most well behaved baby. She loved being passed around, fed by Aunt Nic and watching everyone eat cake and drink some vino!

A very special treat was meeting her second cousins - Katherine, Justin and Lisa -- who came in town from East Texas and Arkansas to see her!

Thank you all for your prayers for our sweet little baby!
